Governing Board
The Governing Board is a group of 7 individuals elected by the Executive Committee to oversee the operations of the Association. However, for 2013, the Governing Board elected 2 additional members. Each member of the Governing Board is elected on a one-year basis and can be renewed for up to one additional year. Governing Board members must have spent at least one term on the Executive Committee, demonstrated leadership and taken initiative within the Industry and the Association to be nominated. The Governing Board works with the Executive Committee to set the vision/direction, coordinate events, sponsors and represent the interests of the Association. Governing Board members meet weekly via phone calls and hold biannual off-site meetings.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is a group of 19 individuals elected by the members of the Association at the Crowdfunding Professional’s Annual Meeting. However, for 2013, the Governing Board elected the executive committee members. Each member of the Executive Committee is elected on two-year basis. Executive Committee members must have demonstrated leadership and taken initiative within the Industry and Association to be nominated. Each Executive Committee member must actively chair one committee, be responsible for setting the vision, quarterly goals and be accountable to accomplish the goals. The Executive Committee member will work with the Governing Board on his/her committee assignments and agree to participate on calls and report on committee progress.
